This is a small, free, independent site. It is written and maintained by one person.

Because one person does everything, replies can be slow. Please allow several days before you worry. A polite message will always be read, even when the reply takes a while.

There is no company behind the site and no support team.

If one of the forms works for you, please use the form instead. A form keeps the lesson number, the exact sentence and your screenshot together in one place, which makes a problem much easier to fix.

Use the forms first

The site has two forms, and they are the fastest way to reach the owner.

Use the Give feedback form for general comments, ideas, praise, or anything about the course as a whole.

Use the Report a problem form for one specific error: a wrong translation, a wrong answer key, a button that does not work, or a lesson that will not open.

Please use email only if a form does not work for you. A form keeps the details in one place and is much harder to lose.

How to report a problem so it gets fixed

Three details make a report easy to act on. Without them, the owner has to guess.

First, the lesson number or the name of the page. For example, lesson 14, or the Speak and check page.

Second, the exact French sentence or question that is wrong. Copy it as it appears on your screen.

Third, a screenshot if you can take one. A picture shows the problem faster than a description. It also helps to say what you expected to see instead.

Corrections we promise to make

If a factual or language error is confirmed, it will be corrected. That is a promise.

This covers a wrong French word, a wrong English or Urdu meaning, a misleading pronunciation spelling, a wrong quiz answer and a wrong answer key.

Corrections are made in the source files and appear the next time the site is published.

What is outside this site's scope

The owner cannot mark your homework, give you private lessons, write a school report or translate documents for you.

The owner cannot issue a certificate. This is a free study site, not an accredited school or an exam centre.

Questions about the French language itself are welcome, but a full answer is not always possible for one person to give.

For teachers, schools and bloggers

Teachers, schools, tutors and bloggers are welcome to show this site to students and to link to it.

You may put a link in a class page, a reading list, a course outline or a blog post. For a simple link you do not need to ask first.

If you want to reproduce lesson text, worksheets or quizzes, whether on your own website, in a book, in a paid course or in any commercial product, please ask for written permission first.

Please do not copy the whole course and publish it as your own work.

If you do not hear back

If a message is not answered within a couple of weeks, please send it again. Messages do get lost, and a second copy is welcome.

Please do not send the same report many times in one day. One clear message is far easier to handle than ten copies of it.
