French words have NO strong stress like English. Every syllable is equal; only the LAST syllable of a group is slightly longer. Questions go UP ↗ at the end, statements go DOWN ↘.
Tip
Say 'bonjour' with equal weight: bon-JOUR (slightly longer end), not BON-jour. Compare: 'Ça va.' (down) vs 'Ça va ?' (up). Same words — only the melody changes.
